Fergal started his dancing career at the age of three and was tutored by the McCormack School of Irish Dancing in Dublin. During his competitive career, he won 15 Dublin & Leinster Championships consecutively and 10 All-Ireland & International Championships in the Male section. This record has not yet been equalled. He and his dancing colleagues also won many Figure & Ceili Dance championships at the highest level.

Since retiring from the competitive side of Irish Dancing, he has starred in many top International dance shows show throughout the World; has appeared numerous times on both National & International TV shows promoting the power and beauty of Irish dancing. He starred alongside Whoppi Goldberg and Denis Quaid, as the Lead Dancer, in the film ” The Magical Legends of the Leprechauns”. One of his most memorable gigs was dancing a duet routine with Dearbhla as the supporting act to ‘Boys to Men’ in Chicago, USA in 2005 in front of an estimated audience of over 300,000 people. Fergal and his troupe of dancers are in constant demand and he and Dearbhla have been dance instructors at “Irish Dance Work-Shops” in the U.S.A. for the past 3 years.

In 1998, he received his Irish Dancing Teachers Diploma thus further promoting the Irish culture. Many of his students have gone on to win Solo and Figure Dance Championships in the major competitions and some have followed in his foot-steps by joining major dance shows like Riverdance and Lord of the Dance, to name but a few.

Fergal is a Professional Irish Dance Instructor and Adjudicator and was the Irish Dance Director and Choreographer for Tinkerbell Christmas Production at ‘Disneyland Paris’ from 2001 to 2004.

In 2006, Fergal was awarded the Adjudicator’s Diploma which enables him to choose the very best dancers for his ‘Celtic Dance Fusion’ show.go back
